Boosting Your Immune System: 7 Herbs and Fruits to Incorporate into Your Diet

In this video, I'm excited to share with you seven herbs and some fruit that can help boost your immune system. As we all know, having a strong immune system is essential for fighting against diseases like the flu and common cold.

Before we get started, I want to make it clear that while the ingredients I'm going to mention can boost your immune system, they are not a cure for any kind of disease. Always consult your physician if you're feeling unwell. That being said, incorporating these ingredients into your diet can help prepare your body to fight off illnesses.

Garlic is known for stimulating active immune cells and can also help reduce bad cholesterol. It's even believed to help detoxify the body from heavy metals. I recommend consuming at least two cloves of garlic a day, and the best way to eat it is raw. I personally love adding raw garlic to bread and drizzling olive oil on top.

Ginger is another powerful herb that can boost your immune system. It contains phenolic compounds that can help reduce GI irritation and aid in digestion. I suggest consuming at least one teaspoon of ginger a day. You can add it to your tea, milk, or even make ginger juice by grating ginger and squeezing the juice out, then adding an equal amount of honey.

Turmeric is another herb that can help boost your immune system. It contains curcumin, which has antiviral properties. I recommend consuming at least half a teaspoon of turmeric a day. You can easily add it to any food of your choice or mix it with hot milk.

Oregano and oregano oil are both excellent for boosting the immune system. Oregano contains carvacrol, which has immune-boosting properties. The best way to consume oregano is by adding it to any food of your choice. However, if you have pure oregano oil, I recommend diluting it with some olive oil and consuming only one drop a day.

Echinacea is another powerful herb that can boost the immune system. While it may not be readily available, you can find echinacea tablets or capsules that contain extracts from the flower and fruit. I recommend taking these daily.

Finally, there are a few fruits that can help boost your immune system as well. Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, oranges, and lemons are all great options. They contain antioxidant properties and are packed with vitamin C and other vitamins. You can eat them straight or add them to smoothies or your diet.

Incorporating these nutrient-dense foods into your diet is essential for living a healthy lifestyle. Remember, while they can help boost your immune system, they are not a cure for any disease. If you're feeling unwell, always consult your physician. Thanks for tuning in, and I hope you continue to live a healthy life!
