DIY All-Natural Plant Rooting Hormone: Aloe Vera, Honey, and Cinnamon

Hello, everyone! Welcome back, today I'll be sharing a DIY all-natural plant rooting hormone that you can use to propagate your cuttings. This chemical-free hormone utilizes the power of aloe vera gel, honey, and cinnamon to stimulate root growth and protect against fungal diseases. Let's get started!

Ingredients and Their Benefits:

  1. Aloe Vera Gel: Aloe vera contains natural hormones that promote root growth in plants. Extract the gel by cutting an aloe vera leaf and scraping out the gel. You can refer to my previous video for a detailed guide on how to extract aloe vera gel.

  2. Honey: Honey contains enzymes that stimulate root growth and provide antibacterial properties. It supports healthy development and protects the cuttings from harmful bacteria.

  3. Cinnamon: Cinnamon possesses antifungal properties that prevent the growth of fungus, ensuring that your plants have a healthy environment to grow in.

Preparing the Rooting Hormone:

  1. In a container, add three tablespoons of aloe vera gel.

  2. Add one tablespoon of honey to the container.

  3. Finally, incorporate one teaspoon of cinnamon.

  4. Mix the solution thoroughly to ensure all three ingredients are dissolved properly.

Using the Rooting Hormone:

  1. Take a cutting from a plant of your choice.

  2. Dip the cutting into the DIY rooting hormone, ensuring it is coated properly.

  3. Plant the cutting in a pot or directly into your garden soil.

  4. Water the newly planted cutting.

Tips for Successful Rooting:

  • With this all-natural rooting hormone, you can skip the step of placing your cuttings in water to root. Simply apply the hormone and plant the cuttings directly.

  • Another option is to use willow stems to root your cuttings. Cut the willow stems into small pieces and brew them in boiling water. Use the resulting water as a rooting solution.

Conclusion:

By harnessing the power of aloe vera gel, honey, and cinnamon, you can create an effective and all-natural plant rooting hormone. This DIY solution promotes root growth, protects against bacteria and fungus, and eliminates the need for water-rooting methods. Experiment with this hormone to propagate your favorite plants and enjoy the joy of successful cuttings.
