First Year Farm Tour of Daisy Creek Farms

After a year of buying our farm, we have planted and planned many dreams into a reality. Take a look at what Daisy Creek Farms has built and come visit our you-pick farm! We are happy and excited to meet you in person.

We started with a 4-acre stone fruit orchard where we planted cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, apriums, pears, and pomegranates. We have nine varieties of cherries, which mature from mid-April to mid-June, and seven varieties of peaches and nectarines. We also have different varieties of apricots, blue oats, and plums. We're excited to see how these trees will produce this year.

We're using high-strength vinegar and organic herbicides and pesticides such as neem oil and pure castle soaps to control pest and weed pressure in the orchard. We also mow the weeds to produce flowers for the bees and then mulch the trees to prevent weed growth.

Moving on to the grapes, we have five rows of ten different varieties of grapes such as thompsons, conquered seedless, concrete seeded, hemrod, red flame, and crimson venus. We also have blueberry grapes that look like blueberries and taste like them too. We're excited to see how these grapes will produce this year.

In addition to the grapes, we have raspberries and blackberries. We have five different varieties of raspberries such as non-tahallas, encore, bubba red, polka red, and yellow. We also have sweet dark primark, navajo, triple crown, and hybrids such as loganberry, boysenberry, and teaberry.

Our strawberries are everbearing varieties, and we have sea skip strawberries that produce from April to October. We planted 1600 blueberry plants of five different varieties such as sushi blue, snow chaser, victoria star, and legacy. Blueberries love acidic soil, and we use pine shavings to acidify the soil.

We're excited to continue dreaming big for our pick-your-own, and we're looking forward to seeing you all here. Stay updated on our YouTube channel and website for more information!
